How do you play alvin and the chipmunks?

Hi G

As a studio musican on a daily basis, the chipmunk voice are record at a lower key than what you actually here on the finished product.

What happens is that, when they re-record the final product, the tape is speeded up and re-recorded at a faster rate. If you listen closely to the endings of most chipmunk song, you can feel the speed jump. How do you play alvin and the chipmunks?
I assume you are asking how to make your voice sound like one of the chipmunks.

The answer is that you need to have a voice modulator to raise the pitch of your voice.

We used to do chipmunk voices the AV club at school with a two speed tape recorder. Record your voice at slow speed and lowering your voice and talking very slowly drawing out all the syllables and sounds. When you played it back at the faster speed, it would sound like the chipmunks and the words came out almost like regular talk.

But to actually sing along with music, you'd need a voice modulator device

What do you mean? Are you looking for sheet music? You could just search google for that kind of stuff. There are tons of sites with sheet music.
well on guitar just play everything a hole octave up. an octave being 12 notes higher then the original note.
