It is illegal to keep native wildife. Chipmunks are native to PA, therefore you cannot keep them as pets.Is there any place near Slatington, PA to adopt chipmunks?
You need to contact your state fish and wildlife department to ask them if chipmunks are illegal or not in your state. Some states do allow you to keep native wildlife as pets, but check whether or not your state is one of them before you go any further.

If your state allows them, you may need to find a breeder and have them shipped because breeders for exotic animals like that are pretty rare. Or, you can talk to wildlife rehabers in your area, sometimes they have animals that can't be released to the wild that they will allow to be pets instead.
Chipmunks are wild animals, and as such are not legal to keep as pets. State laws vary, but generally, native species are illegal to keep as pets, and a person may also get a fine from the game warden.
