My brother was cutting down tree branches and a capsule type nest made out of twigs and leaves fell out of the branches. When we opened it we found two possible chipmunks...they look like chipmunks, but we live in Central Floridia and I thought we didn't get chipmunks this far down. And when trying to research it we find that eastern chipmunks like to burrow in hollow trees and near the ground...so im a little confused as to why we found them in this type of nest? Are we confusing this animal for something else? If so what could it be?Did I find a chipmunk?

it could possible it is a type of squirell but then again you should go to an animal protection centre or something but you should put them back if you pick them up if they are b abies the mother will reject them and they will die good luck any way ther isnt much stoppinf chipmunks from building a nest they might have stolen the nest from a bird perhaps its hard to say
