What kind of pedialyte? Do you mean the fruit-flavored electrolyte drink? That's not going to work and will probably make it sick.

Get to the store and get some puppy or kitten formula. Not milk, and not human baby formula. I forget which (puppy or kitten) one is good for chipmunks but read the label, it will tell you. But either one is better than milk or pedialyte. Feed it with a dropper or feeding syringe. Then get on-line and look up wildlife rehabilitators in your area and call them first thing in the morning. You can't even be sure how old it is.

If you can't find any wildlife rehab facilities, call the vet and ask them, they will probably know of one.

Don't try to keep it as a pet. The priority right now is to keep it alive while you find someone who is equipped, experienced and most importantly licensed, to take care of it and get it to the point where it can survive on its own back in the wild.

I know you mean well but the best thing you can do to ensure its survival is to get it to someone who knows what to do.
The best thing you can do for it right now is your going to need to feed it every hour on the hour so yes that means getting up at 3:00am in the morning. Also you could try letting sleep with you, its just like a baby it needs to be able to hear a heart beat, so try letting sleep on your chest. Just be careful about rolling over on it. Then if it makes it through the night you should go ahead and take it to the vet. The best way to feed a small animal like that is to use a dropper and try to warm the formula up a little bit. When you go to the vet ask for a special formal they have specifically for small wild baby animals that will be more full filling for it. Hopefully you'll be able to get it to eat. If it wont then your going to have to force it to eat yes i know it sounds mean but your gonna have to do it. The best way to do that is ease the dropper into its mouth you may have to help it open its mouth a little but you need to be easy. Once you get the dropper in it mouth just keep trying to get it to eat but don't forget to let it breath. Formula starts running out of its mouth then you need to pull back and let it get what's in there down before you try again. Also, don't forget to keep it warm and i mean warm baby's body temps are really different from the adult chipmunks so keep it wrapped in a blanket best one to use it a baby receiving blanket. Also if the formula doesn't work you might try some regular whole milk or goats milk. Just be sure its warm, almost like bath water. That's what i used with my pet squirrel. It was just a baby too. So I wish you luck and I hope it lives long enough for you to get it to the vet in the morning to get it better. Good luck.
Good lord this has to be the saddest yahoo post i have ever encountered!!!! You need to call an emergency vet asap!!!! what part of the world are you posting this question from? You need to be trying to feed it the most natural source of nutrients it could be getting from the mothers breast milk!!!! Please keep us posted somehow!!! This is truly heart wrenching!!!!
You have a baby chipmunk why? You know it's illegal? If you found it orphaned, why didn't you just take it to a wildlife rescue, or someplace that could TAKE CARE OF IT. It might be too late, now, but try to get it to a wildlife rehabilitator or vet if you want it to live.
i think taht it just isn't hungry. i dont think that you should worry but if it doesn't eat or anything soon, then you should contact the vet. and if you are worried just stay w/ your pet chipmunk all night. thats what i would do :) i really hope that it gets better!
Is all you have been feeding it pedialyte? That certainly doesn't have nearly what the baby needs. You need to find a certified animal rehabilitator and give the chipmunk to them before it dies.
Keep it warm. Be careful, you might want to take it to the vet. If you rescued it, you might need to take it to a wildlife rehabilitator. If he's your pet I would say definitely take it to the vet's tommorrow.
Mabye u should try feeding it somthing else that is still good for him. Mabye he just doesnt like the stuff. Try milk or simple water. Im not Chimpmunk expert though. Or take it to the chimpmunk hospital. Good luck finding a way
