Why do people like music that has been turned into ';alvin and the chipmunks'; version?

I just do not get it! No offense but I just think they are annoying and ruining a good song, so why do people like it. It's because the pitch is so abnormal, so different from what we normally here, that some people find it hilarious. Although it can get a little annoying sometimes, it has it's cuteness factor.
these people think it is cute and (or) funny when they change the pitch for some odd reason if you ask me you can do that all by yourself with some kind of software so its stupid
Not sure, but some of them actually are funny, and maybe, its so annoying that people like it? Lol.
